From Alexithymia to Internet Addiction in Adolescents Under Stress: A Serial Mediation through Depression and Affect Regulation

Alexithymia have been found to be associated with Internet addiction, depression, and the use of maladjusted affect regulation, respectively. This study verified a serial mediation model in adolescents under stress, rather than without, that alexithymia could lead to Internet addiction through depression and then use of maladjusted affect regulation strategy.
