Forgiving Romantic Partners: The Role of the Big 5 Personality Factors in Forgiveness after Infidelity

This correlational study examined the “Big 5” personality traits and forgiveness levels of victims of infidelity, whereas a majority of infidelity literature uses the Big 5 to identify the connection between personality traits and cheating. These insights will help inform psychological and therapeutic practices for supporting individuals and couples post-infidelity.
