Children's Perceptions of an Art-Based Intervention on Their Mental Health, Well-Being, and Identity

Perceived impact of a 7-week art-based intervention on the mental health, well-being, and identity of elementary school students attending an after-school program in rural Quebec was assessed. Qualitative analysis resulted in perceived improvement of participant well-being pre-to-post intervention, indicating the effectiveness of brief art-based interventions for youth mental health.
