Abstract

In a diverse sample of girls with childhood ADHD, early internalizing symptoms predicted young-adult internalizing symptoms, as did parental distress during childhood/adolescence. This predictive association was not observed in neurotypical peers. Yet childhood externalizing symptoms predicted young-adult externalizing symptoms in both girls with and without ADHD.
