Adolescent and Caregiver Reports of Potentially Traumatic Events Experienced By Adolescents Who Have Been Sexually Abused: Relations with Adolescent Adjustment

Adolescent and caregiver reports of adolescents’ exposure to potentially traumatic events are often dissimilar. The relative utility of using one or the other’s report for understanding adolescent adjustment is unclear. We found a modest relation between adolescent and caregiver reports, and both were independently related to adolescent adjustment.
