Caregiver Emotional Support in Relation to Adolescent Functioning after Sexual Abuse: Findings with Enhanced Methods

Associations of caregiver emotional support with adolescent functioning after sexual abuse emerge inconsistently. We thus investigated this association using stronger methods (i.e., previously validated measures and a large sample). Results indicate that adolescent reports of caregiver emotional support relate to adolescent functioning, but caregiver reports do not.
