Sex Differences in the Association between Cannabis Use Motives and Problematic Cannabis Use

Abstract
The current study examined the associations between cannabis motives and problematic cannabis use and the moderating effect of sex on this relationship. Coping, enhancement, and expansion motives all interacted with sex, such that males showed stronger relationships between these motives and problematic cannabis use relative to females.
