Getting Kids to School: The Importance of a Positive Mindset and Resources for Parents Can Increase in-Person Attendance and Decrease Chronic Absenteeism

Chronic absenteeism can be impacted by various systems that either help or hinder families and students. One hundred caregivers were surveyed and noted the importance of support and guidance by their child’s schools to their children attending. However, challenges with safe transportation and children’s sleep impacted chronic absenteeism rates.
