Recent Father Involvement Moderates the Association between Suicide Ideation and Suicide Attempts

We found recent father involvement moderates the association between suicide ideation and suicide attempts 2 years later among maltreated adolescents (N=324, 140 males, M_{T1 age}=16). Effects were significant after controlling for mother involvement, family income, and social support from non-parental adults, indicating father involvement may be protective against suicide risk.
