Abstract
The Duke Misophonia Questionnaire (DMQ) measures misophonia, a construct characterized by reduced tolerance for specific auditory triggers, comprehensively is too long for nonclinical use. Using item response theory, a 40-item short form was developed. The short form provides a concise tool for assessing misophonia in research or clinical settings.
