Body Image Dysfunction Among Adolescent Athletes - Male and Female

This study explores gender differences in body image among high school athletes and non-athletes, utilizing the MBSRQ questionnaire to survey participants. Data analysis showed that female athletes exhibited worse body image on MBSRQ subscore differentiation, with athlete to non-athlete data suggesting adolescents are significantly less body-conscious than Cash’s (1987) norms.
