Abstract

We examined how race (Black versus White) influenced familial COVID-19 impact and parental coping and the subsequent effects on adolescent psychological needs satisfaction (PNS) in 205 community participants (43.9% Black). Black families reported greater COVID-19 impact, but also greater parental coping, which explained the relation between race and PNS.
