Memorable Music: An Exploration of Factors That Render Past Songs Personally Meaningful Regardless of Age

Our goal was to examine the connection between music and memories across adulthood. Our results reinforce the importance of music experienced during adolescence and early adulthood, identify factors that make music memorable, and demonstrate the persistence of memories and emotional responses to songs from this time period across the lifespan.
