Improving Brief Assessment of Suicidal Thoughts and Behaviors in Youth: An Engaged, Stakeholder-Informed Approach to Measure Development, Testing, and Implementation

Invalid assessments of suicidal thoughts and behaviors (STBs) have profound implications for research and clinical management of STBs, but research has documented poor consistency in reports of STBs across measures. This study will refine single-item STB measures, test their psychometric properties, and identify other factors impacting response accuracy in youth.
