Effects of Childhood Trauma: Depression, Substance Abuse, and Deviance

Abstract
People who experienced 4 or more adverse childhood experiences were found to be at a higher risk for depression and lower risk for tobacco abuse. It is believed that our sample did not reflect higher risk of substance abuse and deviance due to resilience.
