Abstract

This study examined how unrealistic optimism influences individuals’ engagement in protective behaviors during COVID-19, using a survey with 497 Korean citizens. The findings showed that unrealistic optimism’s influence on protective behaviors varied depending on individuals’ self-efficacy.
