Reappraisal Fails to Reduce the Frequency of Negative Affect and Increase the Frequency of Positive Affect in Adults with Major Depressive Disorder

Abstract
Reappraisal is not related to levels of negative or positive affect in those with Major Depressive Disorder (MDD). In a sample of N=80, frequencies of negative and positive affect states defined by machine learning are significantly different in healthy controls compared to those with MDD given reappraisal scores at baseline.
