Psychological Disorder Prevalence and Laws Prohibiting Violence Against Women Predict Sexual Violence Rates across Countries

We analyzed global data to determine if psychological disorder prevalence and laws prohibiting violence against women predict sexual violence prevalence. Results indicated that greater prevalence of psychological disorders and more laws prohibiting violence against women predict more sexual violence perpetration across countries. Social implications of these results are reviewed.
