Depression, Entrapment, and Escalating Conflicts

Do feelings of depression and/or hopelessness preclude entrapment? We used the Beck Depression Inventory and the Beck Hopelessness Scale to predict behavior in the Counter Game. Neither self-reported depression nor hopeless significantly predicted length of play in the Counter Game, suggesting that these feelings do not relate to entrapment.
