Abstract
This study examined the effects of intergenerational trauma on family functioning and parent-child relationships in second-generation Americans. The intensity of parents’ posttrauma adaptational styles was positively correlated with the severity of participants' reparative adaptational impacts and levels of maladaptive family functioning, and negatively correlated with the quality of parent-child relationships.
