Abstract
We ran a correlational study examining White parents’ (N = 277) protective parenting style (α = .87) and its link to racial socialization behaviors. Results suggested that less egalitarian motivations and strategies (e.g., antiracism) predicted greater protective parenting which was associated with less interracial socialization of their children.
