Abstract

This study investigated relations of school connectedness (i.e., students’ beliefs that others at school care about them and their learning) with internalizing problems among early adolescents, using a three-year longitudinal design. School connectedness and internalizing problems had reciprocal relations and changes in school connectedness related to changes in internalizing problems.
