Abstract

We theorize that deficits in episodic future thinking (EFT) play a key role in insensitivity to future consequences (IFC) in decision-making. The proposed study aims to test whether a brief specificity induction in EFT decreases IFC compared to a control condition and test potential moderators such as depression and anhedonia.
