Abstract

We investigated how daily exercise and socializing moderate associations between last-night sleep and current affect. In a sample of 480 adults (200 females, Mage = 40) over twenty days, higher sleep efficiency and easier sleep onset predicted better next-day affect. Socializing moderated the link between sleep duration and positive affect.
