Abstract
Infant testosterone (T) surges after parturition. We propose that temperament will be related to infant T. Three-month old infants (n=87) provided saliva. Fathers and mothers (separately) filled out the Infant Behavior Questionnaire. T predicted effortful reported by fathers (and, to a lesser degree, mothers). No relationships to other temperament subscales.
