Assessing Measurement Invariance for the Caption Scale in US and Chinese Participants

Abstract
Across US and Chinese samples, measurement invariance was examined for a Mandarin version of the lexically-based psychological situations CAPTION scale. While the full CAPTION scale was not invariant, a cross-culturally representative shortened CAPTION scale achieved full invariance. This is an important step towards making the CAPTION framework generalizable across cultures.
