Abstract

Adverse childhood experiences are common and significantly reduce life satisfaction. Our study examined the relationship between childhood trauma, emotional intelligence, and posttraumatic growth in adulthood. Childhood trauma and emotional intelligence independently predicted posttraumatic growth but emotional intelligence did not moderate the relationship between childhood trauma and posttraumatic growth.
