Impact of Contemplating Longevity on Different Life Domains

Younger adults often have negative perceptions of aging and older adults, despite growing desire for long-life. Highlighting this paradox, this study (165 participants, aged 18-30 and 60-84) examined whether contemplating a long-life leads to positive attitudes towards aging and older adults. Expecting longevity enhanced younger participants’ attitudes towards older people.
