Abstract
This study investigated the predictive associations between childhood maltreatment (CM) types, borderline personality disorder (BPD) symptoms, and emotion recognition accuracy. Combined, BPD symptoms and CM were strong predictors of emotion recognition. BPD symptoms and emotional neglect were associated with higher emotion recognition accuracy, while physical neglect related to lower accuracy.
