Beyond Standard Knowledge Assessments: Developing a Knowledge Structure Assessment of Microsoft Excel

Abstract

We developed an assessment of knowledge structure development in a massive open online course (MOOC) on Microsoft Excel. Participants (N = 124) comprised both MOOC enrollees and undergraduate psychology students. We found initial support in the reliability of this measure, and partial support for criterion and known-group validity.
