Preference for Public Health over Criminal Justice Approaches to Drug Regulation

Participants (N= 310, 52%, 75% White) tended to prefer and to trust public health (i.e., FDA) regulatory practices towards drug regulation over criminal justice (DEA) regulatory practices. Moral and Disease models of addiction predicted greater levels of regulatory concern, while sociological models predicted lower levels.
