Abstract
We hypothesized that the association between socioeconomic status (SES) and the home environment would be mediated by maternal emotion regulation (ER). Lower SES was associated with greater expressive suppression, a component of ER. However, SES was not associated with the home environment. There was no evidence for mediation.
