The Associations between Emotions and the Perception of Interpersonal Stressors and Positive Events in Daily Life

We examined whether emotions influence the perception of events in daily life, which complements extant work on whether stressful and positive events predict emotions. Previous days’ positive emotions were related to the next days’ reports of conflicts. Positive emotion levels were related to the likelihood of reporting positive social interactions.
