Abstract
We employed a daily diary design to examine the prospective relation between social-contextual factors, thwarted belongingness (TB), and suicide ideation (SI) in 187 young adult undergraduates. Multi-level modeling demonstrated that social opportunities and number of interactions were associated with TB, which also mediated the effect of social avoidance on SI.
