An Academic Motivation and Emotions Professional Development Program for Low-Income Communities School Teachers

Abstract
This study designed and rigorously assessed a Self-Determination Theory-Based professional development program for middle and high school educators in low-income communities, with 10 participants (9 female, 10 African American teachers). Robust quantitative and qualitative data unequivocally demonstrated the training's effectiveness in enhancing teachers' classroom management skills.
