Self-Promotion Tendencies Appear Higher Among Women with a Masculine Gender-Role Orientation

Abstract
Though our findings were inconclusive, women (n = 349; Mage = 26.84; SDage = 10.52) with a masculine gender-role orientation and high traits of extraversion (a control variable) tended to exhibit self-promoting tendencies within male-dominated settings.
