Intersectional Perspectives: How Systems of Oppression Intersect and Impact the Perception and Experiences of People with Multiple Marginalized Identities
This symposium takes an intersectional perspective to understanding the perception and experiences of people with marginalized racial identities, as intersectional groups are often neglected in psychological research. Presentations examine gender, racial, and heterosexist oppression, xenophobia, and colorism, and how these forms of oppression impact multiple groups.
