Measurement in Romantic Relationships: Current Issues and Directions
This symposium will discuss issues of measurement, ontology, and conceptualization among romantic relationship scales. These include the lack of agreement on the measurand, insufficiency of validity evidence, and the incompatibility between construct conceptualization and measurement models. Promising directions from network analysis, multi-country qualitative work, and improved theorizing are presented.
