What Are the Odds to Beat? Systematic Biases in Research on Adolescent Adversity
Despite adversity, some adolescents develop better than expected. However, common research practices may underestimate adversity or overestimate buffers against adversity. In this symposium, speakers will present recent research findings that challenge predominant paradigms on adolescent development, and critically reflect on how future research on adversity and resilience can be improved.
