<em>PTSD in Black Pregnant Women: Under-Diagnosed, Under-Assessed, and Under-Treated </Em>

Black American pregnant women are five times more likely to die from pregnancy-related complications than white women. Focus groups reveal a significant number experienced trauma resulting in undiagnosed PTSD. We discuss our culturally-competent PTSD multi-level community intervention that reduces mental and physical health risks for Black women and their children.
