Advances in Theory Formation in the Psychopathology Domain

Saturday, March 11, 2023 · Brussels, Belgium

Clinical Science

Theorizing about psychopathology has shifted from describing mental health problems in terms of the medical model, with a clear etiology and a root-cause, to emergent states of a complex dynamical system, with a massively multifactorial etiology. In this symposium, current advances in theory formation are introduced, discussed and critically evaluated.
