People’s Perception of Others’ Mindsets: Beliefs That Guide Impressions, Inferences, and Decisions about Others

This symposium focuses on how people make inferences about others and which characteristics (e.g., construal level) they draw their inferences from. Using a variety of methodological approaches, we bring together research investigating the beliefs and stereotypes people hold that help them attributing specific mindsets to others.
