How Are School Experiences Associated with Mental Health? Findings from Longitudinal Cohorts of Children and Adolescents in Canada and the UK
Youth’s mental health difficulties are increasing, which may be associated to negative school experiences. Better knowledge concerning which school experience characteristics are related to mental health would help improve prevention and intervention. School readiness, classroom environment quality, and attachment to school are promising elements to enhance youth’s mental health.
