New Frontiers in the Psychology of Misinformation: Impacts on Behaviour, Cognitive Mechanisms, and Field Experiments
In this symposium we will present the results of cutting-edge research into the link between misinformation and consequential health behaviours, the long-term effectiveness of interventions, key cognitive mechanisms, and novel field experiments on social media and beyond. The research covers vaccine uptake, psychological inoculation, and text-message based naturalistic experiments.
