Introducing a New Science of Mental Disorders: Using Network Models to Increase Understanding, Prediction, and Treatment of Mental Health Problems
This symposium introduces the recently established 10-year consortium New Science of Mental Disorders (NSMD), which integrates perspectives from clinical psychology, psychometrics, data science, and computational modelling, to critically test and refine the network approach to psychopathology. Ultimately, NSMD will investigate if individual network-based treatment improves clinical outcomes.
