Exploring Moderators and Mediators of the Effects of Target SES on Moral Judgment
People with high status are judged more harshly than those with low status. We explored mediators (e.g., perceived understanding) and moderators (e.g., desired status) of this effect. Under some circumstances, low status individuals were judged morally more benevolently, while under others they were judged more harshly than high status individuals.
