Recent years have yielded important advances in measurement technologies and our understanding of the structure of vocational interests. This symposium integrates four approaches to improving the assessment of vocational interests by using an artificial intelligence chatbot, a new model of children’s interests, and hierarchical measurement models incorporating basic interests.
