Experimental Goal Disengagement Research: Integrating Perspectives from Different Research Traditions
This symposium addresses research gaps in goal disengagement research and assembles diverse perspectives from different fields of psychology to advance an integration. The symposium covers experimental studies on obstacles in social goals, multiple goals conflict, and cognitive control. The discussion sheds light on the commonalities and differences of these approaches.
