Making Sense of Dynamic Goal Pursuit: Investigations of Self-Regulation’s Flexibility between Contexts and Individuals
Self-regulation steers us towards our goals. Under the hood of self-regulation, however, lies a multitude of motives and tactics that drive goal pursuit. We explore how situational and personal factors, ranging from the nature of conflicts to a person’s socioeconomic position, underlie dynamic and systematic variation in self-regulation.
