Understanding the Developmental Consequences of Child and Adolescent Digital Media Habits: Incorporating the Family Ecology
This symposium aims to address how a diverse set of family factors shape children's and adolescents' media habits and related outcomes. We present and integrate findings across four studies to highlight the family circumstances that may promote and/or undermine child and adolescent development. Implications for family-based media guidelines are discussed.
